Bryant is working as a sub-consultant on the North Station Draw 1 Bridge which involves the design, engineering and construction-phase services for the replacement of the North Station Draw 1 Bridge No. B-16-479. The project includes design of a new six-track crossing of the Charles River consisting of movable bridge spans; replacement of a signals tower; replacement/rehabilitation of the approach structures; a new pedestrian walkway over the Charles River; and all associated track and signal work to accommodate each construction phase of the bridge replacement.
Bryant is providing base mapping of the entire project area; including aerial photography, high-rail Lidar, and bathymetric survey services. Survey data will capture features including track, switches, signals and other pertinent rail features, as well as subsurface utilities and right-of-way. MBTA Land Acquisition plans will be prepared based upon design features. The existing bridge structure was scanned via Terrestrial and mobile scanners to capture detail to create an AutoCAD drawing.
