Green Line Station Consolidation & Accessibility Improvements – Boston, MA

The MBTA is working to consolidate four existing Green Line “B” Branch stations into two new stations on Commonwealth Avenue, near Boston University. The work includes the construction of new 225-foot long, low-level platforms with canopies, accessible walkways, new communications and safety/security systems, lighting, signage, benches and other station improvements. The project also includes the demolition of four existing stations. MAS Building and Bridge, Inc. is the prime consultant and added Bryant to the team to provide survey layout, track monitoring and as-built survey services.

Once completed, riders can expect faster, more reliable service along Commonwealth Avenue while enjoying modern, accessible stations. This $29 million project began in February 2021 and is scheduled for completion in early 2022.
