The Purple Line is a 16-mile light rail line that will extend from Bethesda, MD in Montgomery County to New Carrollton, MD in Prince George’s County.

Operating mainly in dedicated or exclusive lanes, it will provide a direct connection to the Metrorail Red, Green and Orange Lines at Bethesda, Silver Spring, College Park and New Carrollton. The Purple Line will also connect to MARC, Amtrak, and local bus services. A total of twenty-one stations are planned along with one short tunnel (Wayne Avenue to Long Branch). The project is expected to be completed in 2021.

Bryant designed roadways, curb ramps and stormwater management systems for drainage. Additionally, Bryant provided traffic design including signage and pavement markings as well as Maintenance of Traffic plans. The firm’s survey services include the reviewing of roadway plats and creating drawings of corrected right-of-way, easements and property lines along the corridor.
