Rick has over 30 years of experience and a broad depth of project management and engineering expertise with an emphasis on water and transportation infrastructure projects.

As Director of Midwest Operations and Senior Project Manager in the Louisville office, he is responsible for client management, quality control/quality assurance, and project supervision and management. Rick is also primarily focused on scheduling, professional staff supervision and keeping staff utilized to the fullest.

His experience includes working for various municipal owner agencies, including the Louisville Metro Public Works as the County Engineer, the City Engineer for the City of Louisville and a Senior Engineer for Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District. In addition, Mr. Storm has worked on numerous sanitary projects including Sanitary Sewer Evaluation and Surveys. Having worked for multiple agencies as the owners’ representative, Rick has an in-depth understanding of water resources and transportation projects.

Rick’s professional memberships include the American Society of Civil Engineers, Louisville Metro Planning Commission, American Public Works Association, and the Society of American Military Engineers.

What is your favorite project you’ve worked on & why?

“I would say the MSD Ohio River Tunnel… it’s a four-plus mile tunnel and once completed it will reduce pollutants in the South Fork of Beargrass Creek.”

What made you want to become an engineer?

“Drafting class in High School.”

What’s something you enjoy doing on your day off?

“Visit one of the local bourbon distilleries.”
