Provided construction management services, including project engineering, construction inspection and office support related to the implementation of critical improvements to DC Water’s distribution and sewer collection systems. The CM4E contract includes reservoir ventilation improvements at the Fort Stanton and Brentwood Reservoirs, restoration of the Pope Branch Stream, the construction of St. Elizabeth’s Water Storage Tower and the associated installations of water mains and rehabilitation of small local sewers. Project specifics include:

Brentwood and Ft. Station Reservoirs

Construction Management services supporting the renovation/rehabilitation of two underground reinforced concrete structures for potable water storage and the associated water infrastructure. For the Brentwood reservoir, work included reservoir membrane improvements, crack and joint sealing, a new SCADA/sampling building, new mixers and controls, electrical and security improvements. For the Ft. Stanton Reservoir, work included ventilation improvements as well as lighting and electrical upgrades.

Pope Branch Stream Restoration

Construction management services related to restoring/stabilizing 4,700 LF of the Pope Branch Stream to a natural, sustainable water-way, including the removal and replacement of 60 LF of 21-inch drainage pipe.

St. Elizabeth’s Water Tank

Construction management services supporting the construction of a two-million gallon composite-style elevated water tower as well as approximately 4,000’ of 24” ductile iron water transmission main.

Bloomingdale Small Diameter Water Main Replacement

Construction management services supporting the construction of approximately 0.87 miles of 8” and 12” DIP watermains and associated valves, appurtenances and copper water service lines.

Rehabilitation of Sewers Under Buildings Phase 2

Construction management services supporting the structural repair of sanitary sewer, combined sewer and stormwater pipes under buildings at 19 specific sites including installation of CIPP lining, chemical grout injection, shotcrete and main entry grout. Pipes are circular, horseshoe and egg shape ranging from 10”-108” inch. Pipe materials include brick, RCP and VCP. Project also consisted of installation of new manholes and CCTV inspection and cleaning of the sewers were required.
